ADENIUM OBESUM - ROSA DEL DESIERTO - Desert Rose

Aunque este es otro genero de plantas que realmente me gusta mucho y además tengo unas cuantas, nunca hasta hoy he escrito sobre las Adenium.

Quizás sea porque estaba esperando que alguna de ellas floreciera.

A principio de este mes, al fin una de mis plantas comenzó a florecer. Como podran observar las flores son preciosas!!

Adenium es una especie de arbusto perteneciente a la familia Apocynaceae. También conocida como Rosa del desierto.
Originaria principalmente del África del este, donde se la encuentra bajo distintas "subespecies" en países como Sudán, el Yemen, Socotra, Namibia, Zimbabue, Sudáfrica, y su nombre parece venir de Adén, que podría designar la región del Golfo del mismo nombre a la entrada del Mar Rojo numerado Océano Índico. Adenium is a shrub species belonging to the family Apocynaceae. Also known as Desert Rose.
Originating mainly from East Africa, where it is found in various "subspecies" in countries like Sudan, Yemen, Socotra, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and his name seems to come from Aden, which could designate the Gulf region of the same name at the entrance of the Red Sea Indian Ocean numbered.

Es una planta de la importancia de un arbusto, y cuyas características principales son:  su forma y caudex,  su  floración del rojo hasta un rosa pálido, su longevidad y su resistencia a la sequía.It is a plant of the importance of a bush, and whose main characteristics are: its shape and caudex, the flowering of the red to pale pink, longevity and resistance to drought.

Hola, les presento a Fanny Lu, mi chihuahua, nacida el 16/04/2011.
Si bien este sitio lo cree solo para hablar sobre mis plantas, estoy aprendiendo a ser menos rígida con migo misma y comparto tambien este ser me me hace muy feliz.

Cyphostemma Juttae Floreciendo - Blooming juttae Cyphostemma

Al parecer la primavera - verano se viene con todo!!
Mis plantas gorditas (caudex) estan a full!!
Este es el turno de la Cyphostemma Juttae.
Como recordarán, esta planta tiene ya unos cuantos años.
De pronto a fines de noviembre comenzó a tener una nueva actividad. Del centro de su talle salió una vara y de ésta unas diminutas flores.

This is the turn of the Cyphostemma juttae.

Esta vara es tanto o más larga que todo el cuerpo de la planta.

Aquí en las fotografías siguientes, estan estas nuevas cyphostemmas, cultivadas por un amigo viverista y que se dedica más que nada a árboles y bonsai. Ahora son mías y quiero comparar cuanto y como cecen, yq que son nacidas aquí en mi ciudad, no así la otra que vino desde otro país.

Monadenium

Esta planta, se la compre a los hermanos Pedraza, del Vivero "El Cardón"... no estaba clasificada .... lo que es mi ignorancia!! Yo pensaba que era un tipo de Euphorbia, u otra suculenta que podría llegara a tener forma de arbol.

Con el tiempo, fue creciendo y su "tronco" o "única rama" quería enconrvarse.

Yo le puse primero una piedra, a modo de soporte... la planta continuaba creciendo y se ondulaba más y más.

Decidí dejarla crecer como quisiera y comence a buscar su nombre.

This plant, the brothers buy Pedraza, Nursery "El Cardon" ... was not classified .... what my ignorance! En fin. mi planta es un Monadenium guentheri var. mamillare. oriundos de Sud africa.
Incluso existen muchisimas variedades y muchos de ellos con caudex en su base.

Anyway. my plant is a Monadenium guentheri var. mamillare. native of South Africa.

No pude encontrar muchas más informacion sobre la planta, solo que gusta de mucha luz y sol.
Creo entonces que tendré que mudarla a otro lugar donde tenga condiciones mas propicias.
Igualmente creo que donde está le ha gustado ya que floreció.

I could not find much more information about the plant, just like lots of light and sun.

So I think I'll have to move it to another place that has more favorable conditions.

Las flores se encuentran dispuestas como si fueran un ramo. Super delicadas y un con un tono rosado en sus bordes.
Son hermosas.

The flowers are arranged like a bouquet. Super sensitive and one with pink at the edges.

They are beautiful.

Sedum Morganianum

Este Sedum Morganianum, se lo compré a Alberto "Leuko" hace no menos de 3 años.
Pasó por un par de caídas, mudanza, etc. y aquí está: Floreciendo!!

Yo pensaba que solo florecería en las ramas más gordas, pero no es así. Ha florecido en distintas ramas, algunas más viejas y otras más nuevas. Valla uno a saber por qué!!

Sedum praealtum crestado - Sedum crested praealtum

Esta variedad  "Sedum praealtum", es uno de los mas comunes y se encuentra facilmente en cualquier casa, ya que se adapta a todo clima y tipo de lugar, hasta puede ser muy invasivo.

Este en particular me lo regaló un amigo. Se ve que tuvo algun problema, un golpe o alguna peste y se crestó.
